NEW AND RETURNING VOICES OF THE ECBC
Scott Rossman The Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic at Sandestin is pleased to introduce Scott Rossman as Master of Ceremonies for the 2005 event and welcome back Jim Roberson as Technical Advisor.

Rossman hopes to bring the ECBC to life for the spectators at the Baytowne Marina docks as boats enter the marina Jim Robersonand weigh-in their catch. No stranger to the arena of big game fishing Rossman has covered the Bay Point Invitational for the past eighteen years as part of his duties as Sports Director at WJHG-TV, the NBC affiliate in Panama City.

Roberson currently serves as a Representative on the IGFA International Committee and is an IGFA Certified Observer. He was awarded the 2000 Conservation Captain of the Year by The Billfish Foundation and has served as past President of the Ft. Walton Beach Sailfish Club and the Emerald Coast Chapter of the CCA. Roberson is returning as Technical Advisor to the ECBC and will once again lend his expertise on international and saltwater angling rules and tackle.

 
ECBC HOSTS SPONSOR AND VIP RECEPTION ABOARD THE "SOLARIS"
Solaris Thursday, June 23, the ECBC will, for the first time, host the Sponsor and VIP Reception aboard the 125-foot luxury yacht Solaris. The Solaris is docked at the Baytowne Marina and run by Sunquest Cruises.

Boarding for the bay cruise starts at 5:30pm, departure is at 6:00pm and the yacht will return to the marina at 8:30pm. During that time guests will enjoy drinks and hor d'oeuvres and get an up-close view of the Boat Parade.

"This is just one of the ways we say thank-you to the people and companies that support our event," said Shawna Meisner, Tournament Coordinator. "Our sponsors are the reason we're able to produce such a high quality event and we value our relationship with them."

 
STEVE GOIONE RETURNS AS TOURNAMENT ARTIST
Steve Goione's 2005 ECBC Illustration Whether it's fishing or making art, hopeful passion is at the core for marine artist Steve Goione. "I just think you have to be yourself, be honest, and things will come to you," he said during a phone interview from his new Wilmington, NC studio.

And they did. His talents, influenced by a decade of childhood summers along the Jersey shore, led him to an art degree from The Ringling School of Art and a graphic design career that evolved serendipitously into…   FULL STORY
