In appreciation of avid anglers worldwide who demand powerful engine performance, MTU reintroduced the Legend Series, a season-long event open to anyone whose boat is powered by an MTU or Detroit Diesel engine. Entrants can earn points by participating in the tournaments in the Series. A grand prize will be awarded to the boat that accumulates the most points during the season.

According to MTU, when they invited fishing tournaments to participate in the Legend Series, only the best of the best were considered. "Our plan is to promote these tournaments as the premier billfishing events in North America. An elite few that define the sport…"

MTU announced the ECBC as part of the Legend Series at the Miami International Boat Show held in February. They will help promote the tournament in a huge advertising, direct mail, public relations and promotional campaign that will generate even more publicity for our event.
