Hi Everybody,
If you're anything like me, spring can't get here soon enough, and now that's it's starting to arrive we've started turning our minds to fishing. Amber XXX is back as my assistant for the summer, and just in time because entries are already starting to come in. So, if you need help and can't reach me, feel free to email Amber at or call 866-505-4458.
I do want to remind you of our April 30th Early Bird Deadline ($1,000 deposit can win $1,000 and free docckage during the tournament), but this month I want to help you get in the mood with two ways to go fishing for free.
They say there's a big element of luck in fishing, and the first way is to have the dumb luck to be standing around when Chris Fischer shows up and gives you 30 seconds to decide if you wanna go fishing. Here's a hint—say yes! Chris and his crew will sweep you off right then and there for a week of unbeatable fishing at some exotic locale where you will star in his next episode of WANNA GO FISHING? on ESPN2. And yes, he will buy you new underwear. One of the episodes showing this year was shot here at Sandestin. I've listed his schedule below, and you won't want to miss a one!
The second way is not completely free, at least not money-wise, but it pretty much is tackle-wise. From our friends at Soundings Trade Only, a look at what it's like to fish in Brazil with just a flashlight. Hilarious.

That's it for now. Enjoy your Spring—and if you have a funny story or video send it along. You might be the star of our next edition of Classic News!

| 2009 TOURNAMENT ART BY STEVE GOIONE |
When it comes to traditions, we have some good ones—and one of the best is having an original illustration created each year by Steve Goione. This year is no exception, and we're happy to unveil our 2009 artwork.
Steve is quite in demand these days, and if you'd like to see why first-hand, you can visit him at the Miami Boat Show. He'll be exhibiting with Hatteras Yachts over on Collins Ave.
You can also see some of his artwork in the Z.G. Collections booth in the Big Game Room (Booth #2217). Steve created the Chapter Illustrations for the historic first release of Tales of The Gladiator, a collection of never-before released manuscripts by Zane Grey. |
