It’s a common scenario in marinas around the world: as boats get larger and more complex, they require more power. When Sandestin’s Baytowne Marina was first constructed, 90 percent of the slips were set up for sailboats, which require very little in the way of power. But flash forward to 2015 and 90 percent of the marina’s slips are occupied by a mix of sportfishermen and cruisers, which need significantly more power.
